"Heaven help the little Cavaliers who call for help, and no one comes.".....
If you live in the greater Chicago area and your family has difficulty living with your Cavalier due, for example, to lack of house training, undesirable behaviors such as humping or pulling, or perhaps due to puzzling medical problems, GCCR volunteers are aware of many resources to assist in your Cavalier’s care. For starters, throughout the year GCCR has events where volunteers and their Cavaliers gather, creating an opportunity to share needs, concerns and helpful tips – ask to be given email notice of upcoming events. If your concerns are more serious and urgent, a GCCR volunteer might visit you and your Cavalier to observe the behavior or symptoms first hand.
Please recognize that GCCR volunteers are simply that, just volunteers, and they cannot assure fixing your family’s difficulties with a Cavalier. However, volunteers can give you the names and addresses of Chicago area professionals familiar with the breed, including folks skilled in behavior modification, obedience training centers, and veterinarians.
If you have a question or concern about caring for your Cavalier, please contact GCCR via email at info@gccavalierrescue.org
