ADOPTION PENDING: Jazzy is a very sweet and loving velcro dog who is happiest in a warm lap or next to her person. She is shy but open to meeting new people and experiencing new situations as long as she feels safe. Absolutely no signs of aggression and she is getting along well with her foster siblings, though more following them than playing with them. She is as much praise motivated as treat motivated and is close to being potty trained by keeping to a schedule (waking, before/after eating, before naps, bedtime) She hasn't figured out how to signal that she has to go yet but we are hoping that will come soon. She likes to have her human or another dog inside or outside with her though she is starting to explore the yard on her own. Going up the stairs is coming along. Not confident enough to go down the stairs yet. Jazzy no longer needs prescription food and is doing well with a high-quality rehydrated food that is easier to eat with her one remaining tooth. She is a well-mannered walker with either a collar or a harness; however, if you want a dog to jog with, Jazzy would prefer to watch from the door and welcome you with an abundance of enthusiasm when you return! She takes many naps during the day but often keeps an eye half open to make sure she isn't missing anything! She will still nap in her crate, if you insist, but much prefers the big bed shared with her people and other dogs.
