I am Vega—though at my foster home I answer to “Cappy” (short for Cappuccino), because I’m a warm, sweet, energizing black-and-tan lovebug.

My favorite thing in the world is being with my people. Seriously…if you’re nearby, I’m happy. If you leave, I might let out a bark to let you know I miss you—but my excitement when you come back more than makes up for it!

I’m doing good with my crate and settling into routines, but I’m still learning the ropes of potty training. I don’t quite know how to tell you I need to go out yet, so having a fenced yard (and a patient human) is a big help while I figure it all out.

I’m a total social butterfly—I love everyone I meet! While I haven’t spent time with young kids yet, I’ve done wonderfully with adults and I really enjoy hanging out with my foster family’s two Cavalier buddies. Having a canine friend could be fun, but I’d also be happy soaking up all your attention myself!

Playtime is one of my favorite parts of the day. I LOVE toys and I’m learning how to play fetch. Sometimes I get so excited that I forget to bring the ball back… but hey, I’m a work in progress, and I promise I’m trying!

Leash walking is brand new to me, so I’m still figuring that out too. With a little patience and practice, I know I’ll be strutting like a pro in no time.

One thing my foster family finds pretty adorable—I don’t jump on furniture. Instead, I stand on my back legs to politely ask for attention. It’s kind of my signature move (and a pretty cute one, if I do say so myself).
