Hi! My name is Chestnut. I am a 3 ½ year old Ruby. I have been living with my foster family since October. When I was first brought to their house, I was incredibly nervous and timid. After living with my foster mom & dad I am still shy but realize that humans are great for a jowl and ear rubs. Love my foster daddy (of course he is around all day) and seem to feel more comfortable around men than women, but both give good pets! My foster sister is nice, and I sometimes play with her. My foster brother is a puppy, and he is a brat. I would be happy with an older dog who is not too dominant. As I have had a few litters of puppies before my breeder gave me to GCCR, I would prefer to have adult dogs who are not in my face and chewing on me. My foster mom and daddy need to work on obedience with the brat more. I am a very sweet girl and do well with older children (over 10) if they are not too loud and give me time to trust them. I generally am housetrained and will go out in the back yard to go potty. Routine is important to me, as I have not been able to tell my foster parents when I need to go out. Looking for a family who likes to give me pets and a soft places to sleep. I am looking for a home with a fenced in yard, and a gentle and loving mommy and/or daddy. If I get scared, you can pick me up and calm me down. Also bit of an acrobat (my foster mom says that I am a typical ruby,) and can climb over things to get something I want. I stole daddy’s cheese from his desk by climbing across the bed and table. I did not even knock over the bowl of pasta! Will you please adopt me? I am very sweet and loving, and just need patience and exposure to new things. Foster mommy says this will make me “bloom”.
