Porky is a handsome, 7 year old, black and tan Cavalier who needs a loving forever home. He is very sweet and easy going and is coming out of his shell more and more. He is active playing and exploring in the yard and chewing on a few favorite toys, but is quiet most of the day. Porky is cautious and hand shy but has no aggressive behaviors. We know he is compatible with most men, women, and kids over 5 years old and, so far, with other dogs he has met. Porky likes car rides, walks on a leash, is used to wearing a collar, is mostly housebroken, and has made some progress with commands like “sit” and “stay.” As with many rescues, it will take time for him to trust you enough to let you pick him up, however, he finds comfort sitting on the couch with you and letting you pet him. Porky loves a balance of naps and play and will sleep through the night in a gated room (right now he sleeps with his foster Cavalier brothers.) If you have a nice fenced yard and a place for walks, and preferably a family dog (or two), Porky would make your family complete.
