Meet Junie! A tiny bundle of energy and a seriously snuggly love bug who loves everyone. She will run laps around the yard, take long walks, follow her people around the house, and then enjoy several naps a day, preferably on someone’s lap! How is she around people? She is very friendly and assumes that every visitor is a friend, even young children and other dogs! Because she is so small, we think she would be safer in a family where small children only visit but she would love to have at least one other dog friend to continue learning how to enjoy life. Need be away for a couple of hours? She is happy to snooze in her crate but we have left her out with our family’s Cavaliers with no issues. However, be sure to put your shoes, slippers, and sandals away first! She slyly drags them one at a time to her bed in the living room and chews on them until someone notices. We think it is as much a game as a need to chew. Are you willing to share your sleeping space? She loves to sleep in the big bed and has never had an accident there. She will also sleep in her crate if you give her a chew toy and some soft blankets to snuggle with. A very unfussy eater, she has tolerated several different kibbles, canned food, and dehydrated foods and snacks. Because she isn’t picky though, she has to be closely supervised outside as she loves leaves, sticks, grass, and birdseed! Speaking of being closely supervised… Junie loves poking her head under the fence to see what’s going on in the next yard. If she could put more than her tiny head underneath, she would be gone in a flash. A fenced yard is required and her new family will need to make sure that there aren’t any gaps that would allow this escape artist to get out. She is a fast runner for a little girl! After only a few weeks with us, we can tell Junie is a wonderful pup who will bring much joy to the right family. If you are interested in adding her to your family, please fill out an application online and specify that you are interested in Juniper. We are open to a ‘meet and greet’ and absolutely would want to see how she would do with any pets and children.
