Katie has moved to a foster home with a pack of 6 Cavaliers, and has picked up lots of new cues. In the fenced backyard she's free to roam, sniff, do her business, but quickly returns to a perch on a porch, overlooking the scene. Watching is Katie's favorite pastime, when she's not snuggling with her new fur friends. In this open environment it has become apparent that Katie is deaf, explaining much of her reticence to come and move about. Snuggling, eating, running are more easily accomplished, but she still holds back from the unknown, and unheard.
Katie is deaf, though perhaps not profoundly. She will be examined by a specialist in PSOM; perhaps her hearing can be restored.
