Samantha is a playful, affectionate Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a big personality and an even bigger heart. From the moment you meet her, her constantly wagging tail and bright eyes let you know she’s happy to be near you. She absolutely loves people and thrives in a home where she can be part of the action—whether that’s lounging on the couch, playing with other pups, or following you from room to room to stay close. She’s social and enjoys the company of other dogs, often finding comfort and confidence when she has a buddy or two by her side. Samantha is still learning to navigate the world with confidence and can be a bit skittish, especially with quick or overhead movements. She may flinch or hesitate at first, but once she feels safe, her silly and playful side takes over. Samantha isn’t particularly interested in toys, but she makes up for it with her love of people and cuddling. She’s a shadow dog who will snuggle up next to you any chance she gets. When crated, especially if left alone, she may bark or cry at first, but she usually settles down once she knows you’re not too far away. She’s still adjusting to routines and would do best with a patient adopter who understands that she may need a little time to feel totally secure. Having other dogs in the home would be a huge plus for her—they help her feel more relaxed and give her the confidence to shine.
