Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Sex: Female, Spayed Age: 5 years old Weight: 15 lbs Location: WI Good with other dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Kids: Yes, currently lives with a 3 year old and a 7 year old Crate trained: Yes Housebroken: Yes Jessica is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves snuggling and being near her people. While she craves attention and enjoys companionship, she’s calm and content when left alone. She’s great with both kids and other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a variety of families. Jessica is well-behaved but doesn’t listen to commands very well yet. She walks nicely on a leash and is currently learning basic commands like “sit,” “come,” and “off.” She doesn’t stray far and prefers to stay close to her humans. Jessica is kennel trained but typically has free roam of the house when her foster parents are away. She has had a couple of accidents but generally does well if given potty breaks about three times a day. She doesn’t signal when she needs to go out but stays clean with a regular routine. At night, Jessica sleeps in her foster parents' bed and uses pet stairs to get up and down gently. She doesn’t jump on furniture and is very polite around doors, waiting for permission to go outside. Sometimes she needs a little encouragement to head outdoors—she loves the comfort of a warm bed! Jessica lives harmoniously with seven other dogs of various sizes, ages, and genders, and she enjoys playing with them more than toys. She’s somewhat food motivated and likes chewing on deer antlers now and then. She’s very quiet—rarely barking or whining—and responds best to gentle, positive reinforcement. Whether as a solo pet or part of a pack, Jessica’s loving nature and easygoing temperament make her a wonderful addition to nearly any home.
