Pippy is an older gentleman, but don’t let his age fool you. He loves to learn new things, go to new places and meet new dogs and people. He is in fairly good physical shape for his age. However, as with any older dog (and even humans for that matter), comes the typical achy joints. A periodic chiropractic adjustment would do him some good (maybe every 3 months or so?). This will help him keep up with his favorite human on those long daily walks, which he just loves. Pippy is a curious little fella. He would love to have the opportunity to investigate a fenced in yard with a canine sibling. But most of all, he would like nothing better than finishing up a fun filled day by taking a nap next to his favorite person. Do you have a soft spot on your lap and in your heart for this obedient, easy going sweetheart? UPDATE 8/12/15…Pippy’s foster mom says they received an opinion from a second chiropractor and it is confirmed that Pippy has grade 4 subluxation of both patellas, but the good news is that they do not cause him difficulty. He walks very well, goes up and down stairs without any problems, and most importantly (especially in the eyes of a Cavalier) he can jump up and off the human bed and sofa with ease. Pippy has been weaned off one of the two pain medications he was initially prescribed with no problem. His foster mom says he is coming along with his obedience training as well. He is currently learning SIT, DOWN, STAY, COME and walking on a leash without pulling. Best of all, he is HOUSEBROKEN! Pippy loves car rides and all people. He is calm with children and if there is an available lap, he’s on it. Doesn’t Pippy just sound wonderful?
