ADOPTION PENDING Bert is such a handsome boy; not to mention a total sweetheart as well. He is active and just loves to play with other dogs. Just watch the video and see his tail go. Bert came from a commercial kennel and was not socialized with humans. Sadly, he came into rescue skittish and hand shy. Lucky for Bert, he has a wonderful foster home who understands his needs and is teaching him humans are not so bad. He is already starting to seek out attention and is beginning to understand pets and snuggles are a good thing. Bert still needs time and patience to help him come out of his shell. Bert's forever home needs a patient, understanding human who will help him blossom, a fenced yard to keep him safe when he explores the outside world, a quiet home with a set routine, and most of all Bert would love and benefit from having a confident canine companion to play with and to teach him what the good life is all about. If you have a big heart and a patient soul, nothing is more rewarding then helping a Cavalier flourish into a loving canine companion.
