ADOPTION PENDING Cassie is a sweet, easy going girl. She is obedient, housebroken and crate trained. Her foster mom says Cassie is eager to please, walks well on a leash, comes when called and rides well in the car. Cassie came into rescue after spending many years living in a backyard breeding environment. She is acclimating well in her foster home, but does exhibit some separation anxiety when left alone for too long. Cassie is a bit timid but accepting of strangers' attention, and really comes out of herself with small children. She enjoys snuggle time with her foster mom, however she needs assistance onto furniture due to having Grade III luxating patellas in both knees. Cassie would enjoy short walks; they would do her some good since she could lose a few pounds. Getting her girlish figure back will certainly help decrease the stress on her back knees. Cassie also suffers from a Grade III heart murmur, but is exhibiting no symptoms; regular monitoring by a veterinary cardiologist will help keep her in tip top health. Cassie loves her nap time, so her ideal home will come with a soft spot for her to lay her head. She also needs a fenced yard so she can get her daily exercise. Most importantly, Cassie needs a special person who will be home most of the time to help her blossom into the loving, loyal companion she is destined to be.
