ADOPTION PENDING Sabrina is 3 years old, has whelped litters for commercial breeders, but was booted out because she would sometimes eat her pups. She is learning trust in her foster home, but very slowly. She is very terrified when taken out. The best home for Sabrina would be one that's very quiet, no children, or only teenage children, or a senior person or couple. Another small dog would be a plus to help her build confidence and teach her the routines. Sabrina doesn't need a yard or much exercise, as she is VERY lethargic. She refuses to walk on a leash and doesn't enjoy the outdoors, yet. She goes out to do her business and wants in right away. She can go upstairs if put on the stairs. Otherwise, she'll choose not to go up. She has bonded with her foster mom and gets all happy and wiggly when she sees her. Just in the last week, she started taking treats from a hand!! Awesome!! She'll follow her foster mom and lick the backs of her legs and feet!! But, she doesn't want to be picked up or petted. The foster mom thinks that in a quiet, patient home, Sabrina will continue to progress, because she has learned so much in only 3 months.
